Who are we?

For 2020, our Junior team consists of 28 boys and girls from the ages of 9-18 who would like to take recreational cycling to the next level. Our program is designed to assist and support team members in all aspects of competitive cycling whether they are doing their very first race or need to refine their skills in order to advance to a National level U23 squad. Mission Devo Cycling is a USA Cycling Foundation Center of Excellence program.

What is our mission?

Our mission is to support and mentor young athletes from all backgrounds in their pursuit of cycling excellence. We strongly believe we can influence kids from all demographics to discover the joy of cycling, and the healthy lifestyle that follows, for the rest of their lives.

What does the team do for it's kids and what have they accomplished?

We provide coaching, skills sessions, trainer sessions, team rides, and race day support. For those that need a little extra help, we also provide bikes, kits, and race fees. We are absolutely committed to removing the barriers to entry and will utilize all available resources to help our young athletes.

In the last five years we've won seven national championships in track and road, 30+ national podiums, and have graduated juniors to collegiate cycling programs, the best development teams in the country, even the #1 pro team in the world...Deceuninck-Quick Step. We love this sport and want the kids to retain their passion for cycling for the rest of their lives.

Why would my child be interested in the team?

We're passionate about cycling but even more passionate about creating a healthy, fun, and safe environment where the kids learn to be part of a team, support each other, and grow as young adults. We don't have mandatory practices or races. We encourage our team members to participate in other sports, outreach programs, band, academic activities...whatever interests them!

Do you work with other cycling resources in the area?

We work closely with the Dick Lane Velodrome in East Point to identify kids with the desire to race and assist them in every way possible to make their dream of racing come true. We are also aligned with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition for the annual Ride With Joey and Free Bikes 4 Kidz.

What is the team's greatest need?

As the team has grown, we have found our greatest need to be providing our juniors with transportation to practices and races. We are actively seeking a team van to fill this need.
